My transmitted and received signal strength is the same according to the guys on the net but my noise level has dropped by 2-3 s units! It works great and it is only 25 feet high! 73 de Dave KD6TO ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Jul 1994 14:37:41 GMT From: usa.net!pcs@uunet.uu.net Subject: Help: World Radio TV Handbook? To: ham-ant@ucsd.edu Can anyone tell me where to obtain a copy of the World Radio TV Handbook (WRTH)? I understand it contains frequencies and programming info by country for the entire world? A group is leaving to climb mountains in Kurdistan immediately and I just heard about this book through the Net. We have no reliable source of weather info and this offers our only hope so far. What I need is an opinion based on experience. I am looking for a good portable RV antenna. Something I can set up quickly at campgrounds for a little HF work. I have an R5 that I could use, but the breakdown and storage of it is a pain. Are the loop antennas by AEA and MFJ *really* any good? Experince now, not book stats. It would seem that anything would be better for portable HF than a mobile stick. Comments?
